About me
Christopher Anderson serves as the Chief Operating Officer for both SkillsUSA Illinois, Inc. and the Youth Workforce Development Foundation. In this role, Chris leads efforts to scale organizational impact, drive strategic growth, and foster a performance-driven culture across a dynamic and talented team. A former tenured Career and Technical Education teacher, Chris champions the belief that classroom experiences must intentionally connect to real-world opportunities.
Chris brings over 15 years of experience with SkillsUSA, having served as a state and national competitor, state officer, active alumnus, state officer trainer, and local chapter advisor. Previously, he held the role of Associate Executive Director and Director of Education for SkillsUSA Illinois, managing educational programs, training initiatives, and conferences, including the State Championships. Based in Chicago, Chris leverages a robust network across education, industry, and workforce development to advance the missions of SkillsUSA Illinois and the Youth Workforce Development Foundation.
