"Khayla is a dedicated CTE teacher specializing in FCS, with a focus on Culinary and Interior Design. She also brings expertise in Nutrition, Child Development, and Financial Literacy, helping students gain practical knowledge for success.
Recognized as Teacher of the Quarter and rated highly on the Danielson Rubric, Khayla is known for her teaching philosophy, which embraces mistakes as opportunities. She encourages students to learn from their errors and thrive.
Passionate about Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student-Led Instruction, and School-Community Equity, she works to elevate classroom engagement and support both student and educator success. With a background in CTE and Human Services and ongoing studies in Curriculum and Instruction, she is a strong advocate for community engagement and educator wellness.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and coaching cheerleading. Above all, she hopes students remember her as the teacher who cared about their well-being.
