About me
"Manuel was born and raised in the southwest side of Chicago to immigrant parents from Mexico. Manuel, a first-generation college student, graduated from Roosevelt University with a B.A. in International Relations and holds an MPA from the University of Illinois Springfield. Manuel began working for ISAC in 2015 as an ISACorps™ member where he was based in the Malcolm X Community College District.
Manuel is currently a Professional Development Specialist, where he facilitates professional development opportunities for college access professionals across the state on a wide variety of topics pertaining to college and financial aid access including the Illinois Postsecondary and Career Expectations (PaCE) Framework, resources and support for underrepresented students, and student loan repayment/forgiveness programs.
