Troy McMillan is a Labor Market & Career Resource Public Service Administrator with the Economic Information & Analysis Division of the Illinois Department of Employment Security. As the statewide program manager of the Career Information System (CIS) the state’s free-of-charge career readiness and employment exploration system. McMillan travels the state informing educators, counselors, employers, chambers of commerce, workforce boards, community and social services agencies on the application and technical use of employment, education, and wage data vital for actionable academic and workforce policy. Using local, national and career-related economic projections, Troy helps customers understand the relationship between career exploration, training programs, the world of work and the economy. Troy McMillan will highlight the CIS Work-Based Learning Tracker--part of the Postsecondary & Career Expectations (PaCE) framework and key ISBE Career Indicators.
